2006 CFL Semi-Final Playoff Games Were Extremely Entertaining

Yesterday I had the pleasure of watching two fantastic football games. I love the CFL... the games are tremendous, the talent level is excellent. Yesterday the CFL Semi-Finals took place with Winnipeg visting Toronto and Saskatchewan travelling to Calgary. The Eastern semi-final game went back and forth with Toronto edging out the Blue Bombers 31-27. The western semi happened to feature my favorite team the Saskatchewan Roughriders as they took on the Calgary Stampeders. This was a great game, the Riders defense came up huge and quarterback Kerry Joseph threw his first CFL playoff touchdown. The Riders won the game 30-21. I love it great finish for the green and white.

That sets up the division finals on Sunday. Here are my predictions.

Eastern Final
Toronto at Montreal
This is just not Montreal's year... I'll go with the Argonauts by three.

Western Final
Saskatchewan at BC
The Riders have given the Lions trouble all year, but the Lions were the best team in the league all season. This is a tough call, the game will be closer than most people think. I want to pick the Riders so bad, but I have to go with the Lions. Let's hope the Riders prove me wrong. I will be in Vancouver for this game so I am very excited in hopes the Riders can pull off the upset.

Grey Cup looks like Toronto vs. BC.
